PLOT SYNOPSIS

At age 4, single mom Theresa Edwards was left by her father on the ice of Lake Quannapowitt. As her daughter is about to become a mother herself, three generations of single women parents must explore what it means to raise a child on your own terms.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Patrick Cleary is a playwright living in Wakefield, Massachusetts. His plays have been produced across the United States, including Massachusetts, New York, California, North Carolina, Maine, and Texas.

His plays have been published by Baker's Plays and JAC Promotions. He has participated in the Boston Theater Marathon, the 10x10 in the Triangle, and the Samuel French Festival.

For the past four years, Patrick has produced a new works festival focused on holiday plays written by playwrights in New England called Suburban Holidays.

Patrick is thrilled to have his play, "Parthenogenesis," chosen for the New York International Fringe Festival, opening in summer 2015.

This weekend, I went to a Town Hall meeting for the FringeNYC, to meet with other producers, playwrights, and all the volunteers who make the Fringe festival happen. This is a video diary of my trip there.

Yesterday, I went to (and from) NYC for the auditions for my show, Parthenogenesis. It was a whirlwind, wonderful experience, and I took some impressions along the way.

Just in time, in exactly 30 days, with 160 people funding, we managed to raise $10,125 for Parthenogenesis to get to FringeNYC! So excited, and humbled, and lucky to have an amazing group of people in my life who believe in me enough to encourage my dreams. Thank you all!

What a day, yesterday! Our playwright, producer, director, and stage manager all got together for the first time in person and we saw a huge array of amazing actors! Hoping that soon, we will be able to announce a cast, but in the meantime, we have 3 days left in our campaign, and only 20% left to go! Help us get there!

So excited to start the process of bringing this play to life! Don't forget that we only have FOUR DAYS left to raise about $2500. I know we can do it!

Parthenogenesis is now on the official "Accepted Shows 2015" page on Fringe NYC!

It's not necessarily an announcement, as she's been with "Parthenogenesis" since its beginning, but we want to welcome our Producer Sarah Melissa Rotker aboard!

I am so thrilled that "Parthenogenesis" has been selected for the NYC Fringe Festival 2015. There is a lot of work to be done, but it's an honor to be a part of this prestigious festival.
